Administrative Clerk - Financial Aid

Purdue University Fort Wayne is looking for a detail orientated and organized individual to join the Financial Aid team as an Administrative Clerk.

 

 

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be preforming on a regular basis?

 

  • Receive and process all outside scholarship payments and inquiries within the university student information system.
  • Follow university processes of notification to the Bursar’s Office, academic colleges, and student accounts.
  • Provide forms as received by office of Banners and process them in respective cabinets.
  • Review and analyze Overawards for outside scholarships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students via phone (during peak) and email answering all Financial Aid questions and addressing/facilitating student concerns and support.
  • Provide and communicate with students in order to process verifications as they are received.
  • Review and resolve unpaid scholarships.
  • Assists with general office operations, purchase office supplies, manage filing process etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

What are the position essentials required as an Administrative Clerk?

 

  • 3 years of experience in general office and customer service work.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Knowledge of policies and regulations regarding various types of state and federal financial aid.
  • Skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to provide great customer service.

 

 

What are the additional preferred requirements of an Administrative Clerk?

 

  • Microsoft Office experience.
