Assistant Professor of Psychology
Job Summary
The Department of Psychology at Purdue University Fort Wayne invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with a start date of August 12, 2024.
The position requires a Ph.D. in psychology with specialization in clinical or counseling psychology. ABD candidates will be considered with the expectation that a doctoral degree be awarded prior to start of employment. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses such as, but not limited to, Abnormal Psychology, Introductory Psychology, and additional courses in area of specialization (9 credit hours/semester). The position also requires developing a program of research leading to publication and some service to the university, community, and profession.
The Program
The Department of Psychology offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in psychology. We have 350 majors and 13 full-time faculty. The department is very collegial and an excellent place to work. We are committed to high quality teaching and research, and new faculty are well supported by the department, college, and university so they can maximize their achievements in these domains.
