Maintenance Technician

We strive to add hardworking people to our team and we are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic. The hourly pay for this position is $15.00.
The day to day work:
- Respond to daily work order and perform preventive maintenance on ventilating units including motors, fans, belts, etc that would include push, pull, lift, carry, move 50 to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Clean heating and cooling coils.
- Repair, lubricate and adjust door hardware, hinges, closures, etc.
- Repair and replace plumbing fixtures including faucets, etc.
- Repair, replace and install lighting fixtures, bulbs, etc.
- Reset breakers, replace fuses and motor fans, etc.
- Assist outside contractors in locating facilities, equipment, etc.
- Identify and diagnose problems with electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems that may be required to work on various heights on ladders, bucket trucks, etc. Check for excessive or unusual heat, vibration, etc. Monitor temperatures, pressures, flow rates and assist in logging equipment recordings.
- Attend training to keep current with changing technology advances.
- Assist other Maintenance and Operations staff, Grounds, and other Facilities co-workers in performing a variety of tasks based on departmental needs.

- You must have valid driver’s license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records policy.
