Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:

We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Office Manager (37926) for the Career Development Center. This position will assist visitors to the Career Development Center. The pay for this position is $18.87/hr.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls.
  • Monitor multiple specific emails for the Center.
  • Answer questions for students, assist them with scheduling appointments and refer them to appropriate resources.
  • Track, organize, and distribute all campus and faculty requests sent to the Center.
  • Manage all required paperwork for internship and work-study programs
  • Maintain accurate records of student and employer information related to internships and work-study.
  • Process Curricular Practical Training (CPT) applications for international students.
  • Supervise and train student workers at the front desk.
  • Act as Handshake Administrator.
  • Support events and meetings.
  • Oversee with detail office budgets reconciling and review with the Executive Director monthly, reconcile travel paperwork for office staff, initiate and track contract renewals.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years’ experience providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Strong computer and technology skills; Proficient in Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage office, including student workers
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to tactfully resolve problems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
  • Must have a valid driver's license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a university setting and with campus information systems.
  • Experience in Handshake.
  • Knowledge of Cognos.
