Overview of Administrative Assistant

The College of Business is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team.  This position will provide secretarial support to the department, faculty, staff and students with the daily operations of the College of Business .  This position will be the front office contact greeting and assisting visitors, colleagues and students.

 

Pay:

  • $18.27 - $19.24

  • Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities Administrative Assistant

  • Front desk coverage, maintain receptionist area and conference room, greet and assist guests as they enter COB, answer and route incoming calls, handle, review and distribute mail daily, place facilities request (work orders, key request, business cards, etc), maintain office equipment, purchase office supplies, maintain office inventory.
  • Reconcile purchasing cards/DIV’s for college/departments, reserve rooms for meetings, assist with travel paperwork, assist department chairs with assignments as needed, maintain COB directory and handbook, assist with COB events and projects.
  • Keep track of faculty and staff professional development funds, assist with summer camps-plan, prep and purchase, assist administrative assistants and department chairs.
  • Mailbox labeling for faulty and staff, make certificates for deans list and semester honor students.

Education Administrative Assistant

  • High school diploma/GED

Experience Administrative Assistant

  • Minimum of two years providing administrative support, required
  • Ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a college environment

  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients and stakeholders, ability to interpret and communicate University policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to conduct oneself in a positive and professional manner, proofread and edit written materials, and provide functional leadership to other staff as needed.
