Overview of Coordinator of Academics and Accreditation

Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Coordinator of Academics & Accreditation for the Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP). The Concurrent Enrollment Program is housed within the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences but reports to the Office of the Provost. It serves as the central point of contact for our Concurrent Enrollment partners and for the Indiana College Core (ICC). As such, all members of CEP are essential stakeholders in the processes of recruitment and retention, including building community partnerships for departments and schools at Purdue University Northwest (PNW).

 

The CEP’s areas of focus include: concurrent enrollment programing; academic contests/events; NACEP accreditation; and recruitment. The Coordinator of Academics & Accreditation facilitates PNW’s NACEP accreditation through management of the overall accreditation process, ensuring standards are being met and evidence is collected and recorded. This includes overseeing all accreditation requirements as related to CEP instructors and credentialing. The Coordinator of Academics and Accreditation also provide support and leadership in concurrent enrollment programming; accreditation efforts; and instructor credentialing for potential partners.  This position may be required to travel to both campuses.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8am – 5pm with occasional evening work; will flex work schedule to accommodate 
  • This position is mostly on site with a chance of some remote work

Duties and Responsibilities of Coordinator of Academics and Accreditation

Concurrent Enrollment Programs

  • Manage concurrent enrollment accreditation process, including:
    • Evidence collection and tracking from 75+ CEP instructors in Brightspace (syllabus, key assessment, site visit, Partnership Pledge, FERPA completion)
    • Download and file all required evidence on a semester basis (from Brightspace)
    • Verify FERPA compliance for 75+ instructors
    • Coordination of required evidence and processes from Coordinators of Students & School Partnerships and Coordinator of Faculty Liaisons
    • Ensuring all other NACEP accreditation requirements are met (required volunteering, maintaining discipline list, etc.)
    • Assist in planning and tracking Professional Development
    • Confirm courses for end of semester evaluation and promote course evaluations with teachers/students
    • Confirm receipt of all required evidence and ensure compliance, issuing non-compliance letters as necessary and communicating non-compliance with teachers and secondary administration per the non-compliance policy
  • Build and maintain CEP Brightspace page
  • Coordinate CEP Instructor Scholarship process, including reimbursement at the end of semester and issuance of acceptance letters
  • Submit all required ICHE documentation associated with concurrent enrollment, including crosswalks and Instructor Credential Status Report
  • Monitor concurrent enrollment credentialing status and work with academic departments to identify potential coursework for HLC approval
  • Coordinate Concurrent Enrollment New Instructor Orientation, including developing materials/videos/quizzes in Brightspace
  • Conduct Teacher Credentialing Meetings with potential concurrent enrollment schools and instructors
  • Maintain concurrent enrollment instructor handbooks
  • Maintain knowledge of NACEP accreditation standards
  • Submit all required NACEP reports and documentation
  • Liaise with NACEP accreditation officer to ensure ongoing accreditation efforts.
  • Assist in maintaining master calendar
  • With Coordinator of Faculty Liaisons, ensure CEP remains compliant to state and federal requirements (posting of ICC syllabi, accessibility, etc.)
  • As part of CEP team, review and update CEP website annually
  • Assist in concurrent enrollment related HLC and PNW reporting (i.e., planning HLC visits relevant to PNW, submitting information to support HLC applications as related to concurrent enrollment, etc.)
  • Participate in state working groups (ICC Working Group, Ready NWI, etc.)
  • Work with schools and departments to determine NLPS alignment opportunities
  • Participate in relevant NACEP/INCEP webinars
  • Assist in all CEP events (Academic Superbowl, Teacher Appreciation Dinner, etc.)
  • Assist in coordinating ECHS OBOU on-campus events and book receipt

Experience Coordinator of Academics and Accreditation

  • Minimum of one year of experience in concurrent enrollment in higher education or a related field

Education Coordinator of Academics and Accreditation

  • BA/BS degree in an academic area within the college, higher education, or related field from an accredited institution
