Job Summary
NSF funded project : full assistantship with Tuition Waiver.
REQUIREMENT: This is a FULL-TIME Graduate Assistantship position that should be completed in-person, ON-CAMPUS in the Purdue University Northwest Hammond Campus. The assistantship covers monthly stipend (12 month assistantship for 2 years) and tuition waiver, but selected student must still pay the mandatory minimum graduate fee each semester.
There is an opportunity to pursue master's degree program with the prestigious national science foundation funding. assistantship accompanied with training from the reputed NSF I corps program. Only 1 position is available. The student who is selected will have the opportunity to complete this prestigious NSF ICorps training along with the assistantship with Tuition Waiver. The student can pursue Masters degree while earning assistantship and do guided research/thesis while working on this funded project.
This will allow experience with entrepreneurship as well and real time virtual reality application with the guided mentoring from the advisor.
As this opportunity is highly competitive and time bound, the final selection will be for only one student.
Core Competencies
- Required Skill sets: 3D Modeling & Animation; Autodesk 3ds Max (or equivalent); Unity 3D;
- Expertise in 3D modeling and animation and interest in Virtual & Augmented Reality
