The College offers undergraduate degrees including a traditional BSN, second degree accelerated BSN, and an online RN to BSN. We offer several MSN options including two advanced practice roles (family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist) and two online advanced practice specialties (nurse educator and nurse executive). Our post-master’s DNP program has a focus in translation science.

 

Purdue University Northwest’s College of Nursing invites applications for the full-time academic position of clinical assistant professor for an academic year appointment starting August 5, 2024.

 

Clinical track responsibilities include use of evidence-based approaches to teaching in classroom and online environments for the graduate or undergraduate program, contributing to curriculum development and revision, participating in university, professional and community service, and clinical practice.  Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and education.

Education

The position requires an earned doctorate in nursing practice (DNP). Proficiency in English, written and spoken, is required.

Experience

Expertise/Certification in one of the following Advanced Practice Roles (NP or CNS) is desirable:

 

  • Family Practice
  • Women’s Health
  • Pediatrics

 

Candidates with clinical, classroom teaching, simulation and online teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
