Job Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) invites applications for a full-time tenured/tenure-track position with a 9-month academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2023. The successful candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor undergraduate students on senior design projects and masters-level graduate students on thesis research, perform research and teach in the areas of Electric Drives, and Power and Energy Systems. 


The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers two ABET-accredited Baccalaureate degree programs: BS in Electrical Engineering and BS in Computer Engineering, and a graduate Master program: MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Our engineering programs are nationally ranked #42 among non-PhD granting institutions. The department provides excellent teaching and learning opportunities with state-of-the-art equipment, design studio, laboratories, and centers.



The PNW School of Engineering comprises three departments: Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Closely affiliated with the School are two distinguished and award-winning research centers, the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation (CIVS) and the Purdue Water Institute (PWI).

A Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. The degree must be earned by August 14, 2023.
