Job Summary
Purdue University Northwest’s Department of Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a Lecturer of Sociology to begin August 2027. This position requires a PhD in Sociology by the start date. ABDs will be considered. Candidates must be able to perform high-quality teaching of introduction to sociology and social problems as well as be willing to perform service and participate in professional development activities. College teaching experience is required. Area of primary teaching specialization is open, but the department has needs in research methods, statistics, race and ethnicity, and social inequality. The standard teaching load is the equivalent of five courses (15 credits) per semester.
