Overview of Sales and Marketing Coordinator
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator supports revenue-generating initiatives within PNW University Enterprises, with primary responsibility for proactive sales support, meal plan sales growth and administrative coordination. This position contributes directly to external and internal revenue generation by supporting prospect outreach, proactive sales, enrollment campaigns, and promotional strategy execution.
The role combines proactive sales, targeted marketing efforts, and structured administrative coordination. Responsibilities include assisting with venue and catering sales activity, promoting and selling student meal plans, executing marketing campaigns that drive conversion, and maintaining accurate sales tracking and reporting. This position plays a direct role in supporting measurable revenue performance across auxiliary operations.
This position does have the opportunity for a flexible work schedule but does require a strong on-campus presence.
Work hours: Typically 8am – 5pm with occasional evening work; will flex work schedule to accommodate
Budgeted Salary: up to $47,840

Duties and Responsibilities of Sales and Marketing Coordinator
Proactive Venue & Catering Sales Support
- Supports in proactively marketing and selling PNW event and meeting spaces and catering services
- Assists in identifying prospective clients and supporting outreach initiatives
- Participates in sales follow-up communication with leads and inquiries
- Assists with preparation of proposals, pricing materials, and event documentation
- Coordinates site visits and supports client walkthroughs
- Maintains organized records of sales activity, inquiries, and conversion outcomes
- Tracks pipeline activity and assists in compiling revenue performance reports
- Supports retention efforts with repeat clients
Meal Plan Sales & Promotion
- Assists in developing and executing strategies to increase student meal plan participation
- Supports orientation, tabling events, campus outreach, and promotional campaigns
- Tracks meal plan enrollment data and assists with sales reporting
- Responds to student and parent inquiries regarding plan options and policies
- Coordinates targeted promotional efforts during peak enrollment periods
- Collaborates with Housing, Student Affairs, and Enrollment teams to support sales growth initiatives
- Maintains accurate records of sales activity and promotional efforts
Administrative Support and Event Sales Assistance
- Provides administrative support to Auxiliary and Event Services leadership
- Assists with event inquiries and follow-up communication
- Maintains organized digital filing systems and documentation
- Assists with data entry, invoicing coordination, and report preparation
- Tracks departmental metrics related to sales, promotions, and vendor activity
- Coordinates internal communication related to dining and auxiliary initiatives
- Supports special projects and operational initiatives as assigned

Education of Sales and Marketing Coordinator
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
Experience of Sales and Marketing Coordinator
- 1–3 years of experience in sales support, marketing, administrative coordination, or related field
Core Competencies of Sales and Marketing Coordinator
- Strong written communication skills
- Basic understanding of sales strategy and promotional campaigns
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web editing platforms
- Experience with social media content scheduling tools
- Strong organizational and data tracking skills
- Outstanding customer service orientation with professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and follow-through
- Dedication to building and maintaining a strong team and support culture both within the department and with service providers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work at both campuses - Hammond, IN and Westville, IN.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move up to 10lbs frequently and up to 20lbs occassionally.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to use personal vehicle to drive on behalf of the University
- Must meet the Minimum Driver Qualifications as defined by the Use of Vehicles for University Business Policy
