We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Account Clerk in our Administrative Business Services office. Assists Business Manager for Athletics and assists with the PFW Foundation. The pay for this position is $17.00/hr.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as the initial resource and point of contact for Athletics communicating and implementing university guidelines.
- Prepares, processes and resolves discrepancies for the various internal and external documents including: journal vouchers, intramural invoice vouchers, budget transfers, CRV deposits, as well as individual and team travel reconciliations.
- Audits documents prepared by Athletics staff and resolves any issues that may arise.
- Follows-up on the status of purchases and payments.
- Works directly with the staff of Athletics, assisting with budgetary matters.
- Maintains accurate files of all necessary forms and backup documentation for all office functions listed.
- Prepares and processes the following HR and payroll documents: offer letters; hiring forms; overload and ad-pay documents.
- Provides administrative assistance for the PFW Foundation by preparing check requests, deposits for non-gift deposits for Foundation, distributes monthly Foundation financial reports to business managers, post gifts/non-gifts in PRF OneSolution and assists director with check writing.
- Assists with monthly deposits received from PRF.
- Centralized duties would consist of serving as a backup ZV60 fkeyer or areas on campus and providing assistance with vendor change requests.
- Maintain records, reconcile balances, analyzes and resolves issues and recommends action for purchases (Pcard and Ariba) within Athletics.
- Serves as the departments resident expert for Pcard policy, transactions and issues.
- Acts as primary backup for preparing and processing purchase orders into Ariba.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Three years general office experience working with accounting, human resources or other business-related functions required.
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Basic math and accounting knowledge.
- Excellent organization/prioritization skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting, business or related field preferred.
- University experience with accounting processes, experience with ERP system and experience working with students preferred.
