We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Account Clerk in our Administrative Business Services office. Assists Business Manager for IT, VCFAA Ancillaries (Bursar/Purchasing/ABS/Acct&Budget), as well as the business manager of Student Housing. The pay for this position is $17.00/hr.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as the initial resource and point of contact for ITS and VCFAA Ancillaries communicating and implementing university guidelines.
- Prepare, process and resolve discrepancies for various internal and external documents including: journal vouchers, intramural invoice vouchers, CD01s and CRV deposits.
- Audits documents prepared by the departments and resolves any issues that may arise.
- Follows-up on the status of purchases and payments. Supports and trains departments regarding SAP utilization.
- Uses SAP daily to review, prepare and audit account information.
- Attends various meetings and events to monitor compliance with university policies.
- Collect PCR Forms from departments and verify accounting information.
- Resolves discrepancies, missing signatures, inadequate receipts, etc.
- Reconciles bank transaction with correct account information on PCR Form.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Three years general office experience working with accounting, human resources or other business-related functions.
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Basic math and accounting knowledge.
- Excellent organization/prioritization skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting, business or related field preferred.
- University experience with accounting processes, experience with ERP system and experience working with students preferred.
