We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Administrative Assistant in the Department of Teacher Education. This position provides office support to the director and the faculty of the School of Education. The pay for this position is $15.77 - $17.18/hr.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain chair’s schedule, if requested.   
  • Assist in preparing reports (e.g., workload, LTL, and dual-credit credentials).
  • Coordinate faculty payroll paperwork and procedures; maintain records; complete LTL reappointment list.
  • Compile course schedule and submit to registrar; monitor changes; add courses to Neff 233, 251, and 257 event calendar each semester.
  • Attend TED meetings and take minutes.
  • Handle mail.
  • Work with Student Affairs committee on scholarships.
  • Prepare and process business office documents including payroll, purchasing, and accounting.
  • Provide support to undergraduate programs.
  • Check SOE email address and forward emails to appropriate person.
  • Maintain room schedules; open rooms each day as needed.
  • Add/remove department transfer and new admit students to Educators.L@listserve.pfw.edu.
  • Assist and answer questions from students, faculty, staff, and public.
  • Coordinate logistics for special programs and events; schedule venue.
  • Clear students to register for student teaching and monitor class enrollments.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of general clerical experience required.
  • Proficiency using software including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and efficiently complete a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent customer-service skills in dealing with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
