Job Summary
Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) School of Polytechnic invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering Technology position beginning August 2026.
Qualifications
A PhD in Industrial Engineering Technology or a related discipline is required. Applicants should possess at least 3 years of relevant industrial experience. Applicants must be able to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in a variety of foundational and upper-level courses, as well as potential courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise. Areas of instructional interest, but not limited to, production planning and control, ergonomics, statistical production planning, supply chain, and statistics. The selected candidate will work closely with students in a small, experiential classroom setting and collaborate with the community and industry partners to improve the program.
The School
The School of Polytechnic has majors in six-degree programs which include Computer, Electrical, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering Technology along with Information Technology and Construction Management. All the Engineering Technology programs are accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. The student educational experience produces graduates who not only have profound technical knowledge, an ability to apply principles, and experiences relevant in their discipline, but they can also problem solve, think critically, innovate, and communicate.
