Job Summary

The Department of Psychology at Purdue University Fort Wayne invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with a start date of August 17, 2026.

Qualifications

The position requires a Ph.D. in psychology with specialization in clinical or counseling psychology. ABD candidates will be considered with the expectation that a doctoral degree be awarded prior to start of employment. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses such as, but not limited to, Abnormal Psychology, Introductory Psychology, and additional courses in area of specialization (3 courses per semester). The position also requires developing a program of research leading to publication and some service to the university, community, and profession.

The Department of Psychology offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in psychology. We have 375 majors and 12 full-time faculty. The department is very collegial and an excellent place to work. We are committed to high quality teaching and research.
