Purdue University Fort Wayne is currently seeking a fulltime, onsite Development Operations Coordinator (40904) for the Office of Development. The Development Operations Coordinator is charged with the correct and efficient gift and data entry and maintenance, financial reconciliation, support of the donor stewardship process, and software support for events involving the Office of Development. The pay for this position is $18.03/hr.

 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process gifts, pledges, manual deposits, and miscellaneous revenue and gifts via the University CRM (Ascend) and ensure funds are deposited into appropriate banks and university accounts.
  • Review SAP, Cognos and Ascend reports to ensure timely fund movement and data consistency.
  • Maintain and update alumni biographical and degree information.
  • Monitor resources daily for deceased constituents and update records in Ascend accordingly.
  • Identify and resolve data errors by cross-referencing reports and digital records.
  • Ensure timely distribution of tax receipts and thank you letters for donors.
  • Support gift acknowledgment logistics across departments and units. 
  • Distribute pledge reminders and communications in a timely and efficient manner to help eliminate past due commitments.
  • Monitor Bluefin devices for tampering and ensure secure data handling practices.
  • Upload monthly data to Campus Guard and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Regularly review level of office supplies and reorder as necessary
  • Coordinate building cleaning and maintenance
  • Serve as main contact for campus facilities
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree with one year of office experience. *Consideration will be given to those candidates who possess a High School Diploma/GED with 2 years or more of office experience
  • Data entry and/or financial reporting/tracking that requires strict attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, word processing, advanced Microsoft excel skills. 
  • Business Skills: Experience with accounting and other business-related rules and functions.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to present a clear and concise message both written and verbally. 
  • Planning and Organization: possess the discipline to structure personal activities to maximize productivity and efficiency; arrange documentation and information in a systematic manner; establish objectives and plans for accomplishment of goals; set priorities; meet deadlines.
  • Initiative: must be able and willing to work in accordance with high, self-imposed standards and discipline: be a self-starter. Must be able to work in fast-paced, demanding, and results-oriented environment.
  • Empathy and Relationship Skills: the sensitivity to perceive and react with consideration to the needs and feelings of others; competence in developing relationships that enhance understanding, communication, and friendliness.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a CRM system and financial software (SAP, Cognos, etc.)
