We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Lead Administrative Assistant that will work in the College of Science. This position will manage all administrative functions of the College. Assist the Dean in directing the day-to-day workings of the College. Be the right-hand person to the Dean. The pay for this position is $23.78/hr.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, attend, and document (minutes) Dean-Chairs’ meetings and external advisory council meetings.
- Serve as liaison with Development and Financial Aid for College scholarship-related items and administer College-level scholarships.
- Serve as the College representative for PFW Day of Giving. Maintain College donor database and send donor acknowledgements as appropriate.
- Communicate items of importance to the College.
- Communicate and facilitate or assist as needed with the various University administrative processes such as Reappointments, Sabbaticals, P&T, Workload Reports, External Review Site Visits, etc.
- Implement, coordinate, revise/enhance, and track the various College administrative processes such as award nominations and marketing/recruitment, etc.
- Coordinate, enhance and communicate College-level events.
- Provide support to and perform any tasks as assigned by the Dean as needed; maintain the Dean’s calendar.
- This position has the autonomy to make purchasing decisions and gives advice on structure changes within the College office.
- Provide assistance to college office faculty/staff/student visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
- HS Diploma/GED.
- 4 years of general office experience.
- Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- University experience.
- Experience with social media (content and posting).
- Event planning/coordination.
