Purdue University Fort Wayne is currently seeking a fulltime, onsite Senior Admissions Counselor in the Office of Enrollment Management & Student Experience. The Senior Admissions Counselor serves as a key member of the Purdue University Fort Wayne Office of Admissions, responsible for engaging prospective students and guiding them through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. The annual salary for this position is $45,684.12.

 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, recruit, and yield prospective students through outreach such as high school visits, college fairs, campus events, and community engagements.
  • Provide personalized information about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, scholarships, and campus life to prospective students and families.
  • Maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, community partners, and prospective students within assigned territories.
  • Serve as the primary admissions liaison for Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne and surrounding regions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ivy Tech staff, faculty, and advising teams to promote seamless transfer pathways to PFW.
  • Review, evaluate, and process pre-admit transfer credit evaluations for all incoming transfer students, ensuring accuracy and timely decisions.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on transfer credit processes and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. *will consider applicants working towards a Bachelor's degree with a May 2026 graduation date*
  • 3 years of experience in admissions, sales, recruitment, or related fields within higher education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and other technology platforms for communication and data management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support to prospective students and families.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the assigned territory, requiring some evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.
