Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Development Operations team at Purdue University Northwest for hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud email design and execution. This internship will provide valuable insights into email marketing strategies, campaign management, and the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and creation of email campaigns using Marketing Cloud.
- Collaborate with the operations team to design and implement engaging email content that encourages participation and donations.
- Monitor email campaign performance, analyze data and provide insights to improve future campaigns.
- Report and analyze data from the CRM to assist in targeting and segmentation for email sends, enhancing audience engagement.
- Help maintain the email marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of campaigns.
- Conduct research on best practices for email design and marketing trends.
- Ensure email campaigns comply with best practices, brand guidelines and regulatory requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM).
- Assist with PNW's largest fundraising campaign, PNW Day of Giving, by supporting email communications related to the campaign.
- Support fundraising goals by performing tasks such as data analysis and generating reports using Salesforce Ascend.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Status:
- Part Time (10-15 hours per week flexible – Monday through Friday during standard work hours)
- Summer availability required.
- Rate of pay $15.00.
Education
- Must be a current enrolled PNW undergraduate (student with a 3.0 GPA and above) pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field.
Experience
- Must be enrolled at PNW for at least one semester.
- Between .5 - 2 years of experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred but not required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of design principles and experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email design is a plus.
