Clinical Faculty in Health Administration

Job Summary

The Department of Public Health at Purdue University invites applicants for a non-tenure track clinical faculty position to direct the online Master of Health Administration program. 


Fiscal Year appointment.  The position will be available immediately. 


Clinical Associate or Full Professor


Under the direction of the Department Head, the successful candidate will lead the academic development, launch and operations of a fully online Master of Health Administration degree program (MHA). Activities include but are not limited to designing a curriculum that meets programmatic accreditation criteria, defining program requirements, policies and metrics for success, assisting with the hire of qualified online instructors, overseeing program admission review processes, and seeking and maintaining CAHME accreditation. Teaching responsibilities may be required as needed. The position requires work to be performed on the West Lafayette Campus. 


A doctoral degree in health administration, health management and policy, or closely related field, demonstrated experience in developing or revising curriculum and teaching in higher education online programs. Preferred qualifications include individuals with a Master’s of Health Administration, a strong network of contacts within the field, demonstrated commitment to professional service, collaboration, innovation, and a history of completing accreditation requirements for degrees.

The Department of Public Health in the College of Health and Human Sciences is home to over 300 undergraduate and graduate students. The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and a CEPH-accredited residential and online Master of Public Health degree.  Beginning Fall 2020, the department will offer a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Public Health. The department is also authorized to offer a Master of Health Administration degree that is projected to be launched in 2021.
