Administrative Assistant - Undergraduate Coordinator/Schedule Deputy

Job Summary

As the Administrative Assistant - Undergraduate Coordinator/Schedule Deputy, you will provide administrative support for a busy main office and serve as the Schedule Deputy for the Nutrition Science department.  Schedule Deputy responsibilities include scheduling classes and managing textbook lists and resolving issues.  Undergraduate Program Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with program directors and advisors to support undergraduate programs.  Major administrative responsibilities include maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings and events, arranging travel and handling incoming inquiries.  Other duties may include creating promotional materials and maintaining websites, databases and mailing lists.

 

Required:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Three (3) years of clerical or administrative experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively support the department and customer needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the department and to address customer needs
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures to make recommendations and implement solutions for non-routine requests
  • Experience providing guidance to students and/or entry-level employees
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 to 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally

 

Preferred:

  • Some college
