Associate Director Undergraduate Services

Job Summary

Purdue University is looking for the right candidate to fill the role of Associate Director of Undergraduate Services within Krannert Professional Development Center (KPDC) As the Associate Director, Undergraduate Services coordinates career services and professional development activities and functions of Career Services for the Krannert School of Management undergraduate students. There will be a need to advise students on job search, internships, and resume preparation. Lead instructor for undergraduate class on professional development and career exploration. Strong supervisory experience required; this role supervises support staff and student assistants. Maintains records and prepared reports.


This position requires an on-campus presence, and some evening and weekend hours may be required.



  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related field
  • Six (6) years’ experience in career counseling, internal communications, or business administration 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to effectively lead, mentor, manage conflict, and guide staff to enhance performance
  • Proficiency with MS office required, especially (but not limited to) Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communications with high personal credibility
  • Ability to navigate technology platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to manage project planning and execution for a working team
  • Ability to communicate with top recruiters, students, and faculty
  • Periodic domestic and international travel may be required



  • Master's degree in business administration, human resources or related field 
  • Four (4) years’ experience in career counseling, internal communications, or business administration
  • Industry experience outside of higher education
  • A teaching or learning & development background with counseling and coaching skills
