Dining Court Supervisor

Job Summary

As Dining Court Supervisor, you will supervise food production and meal service by ensuring that the dining court is properly set and ready for each meal period. Provide a positive leadership example, and mentor and coach student management employees in scheduling and staffing student associates. You will monitor and participate in taste testing of food items, checking for proper temperature, presentation and quality. Maintain an ongoing, highly visible presence in the dining court. Assist with daily food orders and deliveries. Maintain the highest standards in providing residents with appealing and nutritious meals. Participate in inventory, computer and financial operations of food services.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Management, or related
One (1) year of experience in a foods-related area
In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
Functional competencies in food production/services and computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
Certification in ServeSafe sanitation program or ability to become certified within one year
 Interpersonal competencies in customer focus, teamwork/collaboration and coaching/leading people
Personal competencies in flexibility/adaptability and judgment/problem solving
Competencies in communication and initiative
Ability to work with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds utilizing teamwork in daily work activities


Experience with supervision
