Lead Project Coordinator

Job Summary

Lead high-level projects for the College of Health and Human Sciences. Delegate tasks to other team members and be responsible for the review of the work product.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to support for the faculty promotion and tenure process, space management and facilities planning, and general administration of the college.  Responsibilities related to undergraduate education include coordinating various instructional grants, teaching awards, and academic programs. Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean. Maintain calendars, schedule complex meetings, prepare agendas, and collect and provide support materials
Respond to non-routine inquiries and issues from internal and external sources; draft and edit correspondence.  Arrange travel, order supplies, and ensure proper functioning of office equipment. Update and maintain mailing lists, databases and websites.

 

Required:

  • High school/GED 
  • 4 years or more experience as an administrative assistant 
  • Written/spoken communication abilities
  • Maintain calendars, schedule complex meetings, prepare agendas, and collect and provide support materials
  • Broad knowledge of operational systems and practices
  • Respond to non-routine inquiries and issues from internal and external sources; draft and edit correspondence.  Arrange travel, order supplies, and ensure proper functioning of office equipment.  Update and maintain mailing lists, databases and websites.

 

Preferred: 

  • Excellent time management; team player, requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices, advanced knowledge of University policies and practices.

•    This was formerly classified as an operational/technical position; an internal lateral transfer will retain same benefit standing
