Research Program Coordinator

Job Summary

The Research Program Coordinator will work closely with the Center Directors to design and execute education programs to support the overall AAMP project, including coordinating curriculum development efforts, building pathways for research participation by undergraduate and graduate students, and supporting construction and delivery of training-oriented experiences for technicians and researchers new to the energetics area.  The coordinator will prepare, manage, and continuously update/document project plans; collaborate with Purdue and external cross-functional partners; ensure that tasks are completed on-time and within resource projections; and implement meaningful evaluations of program initiatives (evaluation plans to be constructed in conjunction with the Center Directors).  In addition, the Research Program Coordinator will perform other important tasks including scheduling, risk mitigation/management, and other administrative duties including financial tracking.

 

This position has a limited duration of one (1) year with continuation dependent upon additional grant funding.  Benefits do apply. 

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, communications, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience working cross-functionally within research administration, business management, or project management
  • Proficiency in descriptive statistical analysis
  • Proficiency with typical business software and tools including Google docs and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize and execute tasks, especially during times of heavy workload
  • Excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills
  • FERPA and CITI compliance is required within six (6) months of start date

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience working within the Purdue business environment
  • Experience with risk mitigation and conflict management
  • Supervisory experience of undergraduate or graduate students
  • Experience with IRB protocols, approvals, and compliance
