Video Production Specialist

Teaching and Learning Technologies is a catalyst in changing the way students learn and engage with online courses. As a highly skilled video editor in our fast-paced team, you will play a strategic role in collaborating on a multidisciplinary team with faculty and instructional designers to create compelling video and multimedia for online courses. You will accomplish this with the skills necessary to take a course from the faculty's conception, through production of filming and editing, to final delivery for a variety of course types and audiences including credit and non-credit courses, MOOCs, social media, events and promotional purposes. A key component of this role is an ability to independently make decisions and manage relationships within a higher education context. Ideally, this candidate will have an intuitive sense of modern design, creativity, attention to detail, and a passion to continually learn new things.

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One year of experience video editing.
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
  • Experience filming and editing green screen footage.  
  • Experience with creative software (Creative Cloud or equivalent). 
  • Knowledge of post-production video editing for instructional and/or promotional use.
  • Proven ability to produce individual and team projects from start to finish. 
  • Ability to work with video content management systems, project management software, and office productivity software. 
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to maintain clear and open communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines. 
  • Self-motivated to keep current with new technology and explore new techniques and workflows that meet individual and team goals.
     

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics, Film Studies, Video Production, Multimedia or related field.
  • 2D/3D animation or motion graphics experience. Experience writing/editing scripts for video production.
