Job Summary
The Purdue Applied Research Institute (PARI) is seeking the right candidate to fill the role of PARI Operations Coordinator, Lead. This position will assist employees within PARI with their procurement and employment needs. This position can support either function and may alternate responsibility based on priorities and the cyclical nature of the hiring needs. This position assists in creating job requisitions and initiating hiring and onboarding for all positions in PARI as necessary. This role is responsible for the management and reconciliation of department purchasing cards, as well as helping to develop and communicate PARI’s policies surrounding their use. This position will also be responsible for the placement and receipt of orders using PARI’s platforms, requesting new vendors, updating data for existing vendors, entering direct payments, and processing cash or check deposits. Other duties may be assigned, as determined by the supervisor. Additionally, PARI Operations Coordinator, Lead will assist with payroll functions, financial reporting, and other business office functions.
This position has the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment (on-campus and remote) based on the candidate’s location and interest. The ideal candidate should live within 150 miles of West Lafayette and will be available to travel to campus to process I-9's on an as-needed basis, which is expected several times a month.
Required:
- High school diploma/GED
- Four (4) years of experience in administrative, clerical, human resources, or procurement functions and/or experience in a customer-facing position
Preferred
- Four plus (4+) years of experience
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Higher education experience
