Job Summary

The Purdue Applied Research Institute, Microelectronics Lab (PARI PML) seeks a Project Manager who will provide financial, contractual, and technical management of PML projects. The Project Manager will manage a portfolio of projects in a manner consistent with PML’s standards, best practices, and customer requirements. The Project Manager will enable projects to achieve quality execution and program outcomes by working with PML teams in a variety of projects. Reporting to the PML Director, the Program Manager will also participate in new business initiatives, monitoring and evaluation efforts and other functions of the organization.  

 

PARI-PML is located in Odon, Indiana (Purdue@WestGate). The location of the position is classified as working remotely or hybrid, although the Project Manager can be located in and, is definitely expected, to be able to spend significant time in Odon, IN as deemed necessary to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the position. The ideal candidate will live within 150 miles of Odon, IN.

 

Required:

  • Five (5) years of project management experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other field relevant to project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical teams, communicate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and ability to maintain teamwork performance on projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management best practices and ability to perform work in accordance with sponsor requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to travel within the US.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to legally view, handle, and process export-controlled documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a US government security clearance.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience managing US government-funded projects.  
  • Master’s degree, PMP certification, or equivalent work experience in technical/engineering project management in a US government context.
