Job Title:  Associate Director, Business Career Services

Job Summary

The Associate Director, Business Career Services enable successful employment outcomes for graduate students.  The coach provides career exploration, career assessment interpretation, resume/cover letter review, interviewing preparation, connections to alumni and employers and overall job search support (at either individual or group level). Develops strong relationships with students, faculty and staff that support graduate programs and keeps them informed and engaged on employment status and potential action plans to support student success and provides them with ongoing data metrics and insights.  Stays informed on industry knowledge and trends as well as employer landscape and professional associations to be able to most effectively coach students.  Serve as primary contact and owner for various career development resources utilized by the Business Career Services (BCS); actively research and evaluate additional resources that could be adopted by BCS. Works closely with BCS team and colleagues to contribute to the success of career services and student success initiatives.

A cover letter is required to be fully considered

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline
  • Five years of professional work experience in higher education, career development, and/or corporate recruiting or staffing
  • Strong career coaching, collaboration, and communication skills
  • High level of comfort presenting to large and small groups, both in-person and online; ability to think strategically, manage projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines

 

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Business, Human Resources or related discipline
