Job Summary

As the Associate Director Graduate Admissions, you will direct the activities of a comprehensive graduate admissions office which includes supervising a team of admission professionals and consulting on and implementing the institutional policy for admission and articulation. Assists in policy planning and development on all graduate admissions-related matters. Plans and develops strategies for admission of residential master’s students. Assumes responsibility for the successful attainment of the university's recruitment, selection, and enrollment goals. Ability to collect, analyze, and report admissions data and make recommendations for improvement based on performance metrics and data analysis. Represents the university to various institutional divisions as well as externally to government agencies, funding agencies, students, and/or the general public/local community.  Evenings, weekends, and overnight travel (up to 20% travel from mid-August through mid-February will be required). Occasional international travel may be required.

Required:

  • BA/BS degree 
  • Six years of experience in admissions, marketing, communications, recruiting and/or related experiences
  • Experience working with diverse populations, admissions, sales, marketing and event/program management
  • Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Must be capable of managing complex processes, supervising a staff of full and part-time employees, interacting positively with a diverse population, thinking creatively, and working independently
  • Ability to manage the image of the residential Master’s programs and promote them using a full range of marketing, promotional and social media techniques and strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of graduate business education markets and environments
  • Ability to organize logistical and operational challenges

 

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience working with diverse populations, sales and event/program management
