Job Summary

Primary responsibility for Private Loans and assist with all aspects of aid processing for Purdue, private and Federal Loans. Advises students, parents and others concerning financial aid programs, eligibility criteria, application procedures and the awarding and disbursement procedures. Will be back up support to the federal loan administrator.  

What We Are Looking For :

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a financial aid setting.
  • Equivalent experience will be considered.


Preferred:

  • Experience with financial aid in higher education.


Skilled:

  • Excellent communication skills in all forms.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel. 
  • Knowledge of PC systems and applications. 
  • Have good interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team member.  
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must successfully complete the on-site financial aid programs training. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily processing of various reports and quality control (QCs) for the Purdue, Private and Federal Loan programs to monitor the complete cycle from application to certification and disbursement. 
  • Assist in identifying and resolving issues that arise in processing of the various loans.
  • Collaborate in creating, implementing, maintaining, and testing of reports and QCs to monitor for compliance.
  • Provide students, parents, and other publics with information concerning federal, state, institutional and private financial aid programs through our outreach efforts, which may include formal presentations. 
  • Process and award all forms of financial aid following federal, state and institutional regulations and policies.  
  • Adjust students’ financial aid based on changes to enrollment or changes to financial aid eligibility. 
  • Other duties assigned.
