Job Title:  Managing Director, Krenicki Center

Job Summary

The Managing Director of the Krenicki Center is a recognized subject matter expert with limited oversight from the Academic Director that will lead large projects that are often difficult and complex and lead the strategic business development efforts resulting from outreach activities within Purdue University and businesses across Indiana, the nation, and the globe. In this role, the Managing Director, in collaboration with the Academic Director of the Center, will grow strategic relationships with companies’ applied analytics efforts to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their business operations and continue to nurture current companies already engaged with the Center.  This will involve working with stakeholders both within DSB and at the university. The role will have measurable contribution and input in the development of project and engagement opportunities that appeal to industry partners, as well as lead in the design and development of materials that market DSB’s initiatives regarding analytics.  The position will also take the lead in working with corporate partners and managing large projects based on their identified needs with an expectation of engaging 5-10 new corporate partners/projects each year.  
 

Hybrid work will be considered for this position based on the candidate’s location and interest. Will need to be on campus at least 2 days a week.

This position could be filled at multiple levels (P4 or P5). The hiring manager will determine the job level based on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (STEM field is preferred but not required)
  • 6 years of experience in project management, business administration, education, computer science, data science or related field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and networking skills are essential
  • Must be able to interact effectively with top-level executives in a business environment
  • Must have proven project/program management skills
  • The candidate must have the ability to travel

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • 8 years of experience in project management, business administration, education, computer science, data science or related field
  • Hands-on experience with new approaches to analytics/AI
  • Ability to deliver outcomes using the tools related to the field of analytics and business development experience
