About Our Opportunity:

The primary responsibility for this position is to conduct laboratory activities associated with the development/validation of next-generation sequencing panels for diagnostic use. This individual will have the opportunity to contribute to publications and to disseminate research data at meetings. The person in this role will also assist with higher level testing in the molecular diagnostic lab, such as evaluation of Sanger sequencing data and report generation that includes phylogenetic analysis of pathogens. This individual will also provide support for high consequence testing and reporting during outbreak situations in the state of Indiana.
 
 

What We’re Looking For:
Required:

  • Master’s Degree in molecular biology, molecular virology, veterinary microbiology, or related field. Strong background and experience in molecular/bioinformatics laboratory.
  • One year of related experience, such as PCR, real-time PCR, library preparation for next generation sequencing, NGC sequence analysis, or Sanger sequence analysis.

 
Preferred:

  • Two years of related experience.
