Job Title:  Library Assistant

This Library Assistant will be responsible for performing day-to-day functions in various libraries and serving in a public-facing role in different locations, according to need. They will provide basic instruction in reference sources, equipment, and automated information systems to library patrons; communicate and implement library policies and procedures; open and close libraries as assigned; perform essential responsibilities necessary to maintain orderly shelves and facilitate collection access of the libraries’ physical resources. This position will also be responsible for managing the ordering of the libraries’ supply needs. 

 

This position has a target salary of $15.00 - $18.85/hour commensurate with experience and education.

 

 

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or GED
  • Three (3) years of library or public service experience required

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Well-organized with ability to pay attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for learning about and using information technologies
  • Ability to:
