Job Summary
Join Purdue University's Professional Flight Program as an Airman Certification Representative (ACR) and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations for Part 141 flight training. In this administrative position, you will be responsible for processing paperwork related to the issuance of FAA Pilot Certificates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chief Instructor and Flight Schedule Coordinator to process flight practical exam paperwork.
- Conduct flight logbook audits to validate completion of the 141 Training Course Outline (TCO).
- Work with Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs) and Training Course Evaluators (TCEs) for end-of-course assessments.
- Provide backup support for scheduling stage checks and practical tests, coordinating with DPEs and Stage Check instructors as needed.
- Utilize FAA and Purdue portals to review student logbooks, complete paperwork, and issue pilot certificates to successful students.
Process Overview:
- Students and instructors complete training.
- Examiners conduct practical exams to determine student proficiency.
- You complete paperwork based on exam results.
- If successful, issue a pilot certificate to the student.
- This role involves ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all paperwork, as the FAA periodically audits these processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience in paperwork processing and auditing.
- Read, write, and speak the English language with ICAO Level 4 pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and interactions.
- At least 23 years old
- Must hold (or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date) a valid pilot certificate (other than student pilot), valid ground instructor certificate, or valid flight instructor certificate

- Exercise sound judgement
- Maintain the highest degree of objectivity.

- Must represent the university with professionalism, dependability, tact, and diplomacy at all levels.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours and travel, as business need dictates.
Preferred:
- Experience within the aviation industry and the FAA certification process for airman.
