Job Summary

The primary focus of this position is to support and facilitate the financial management, proposal pricing and post award/fiscal oversight within the Purdue Applied Research Institute (PARI).  This includes maintaining fiscal and administrative controls and ensuring compliance to PARI and sponsor guidelines for high-profile, multi-disciplinary research projects within PARI.  This position will engage frequently with internal and external stakeholders to identify actions needed to support the research mission of PARI.  


This position will develop routine financial reports to monitor budget spend rate and forecast future impacts, respond to various ad hoc requests from internal or external parties related to financial status of projects, monitor financial activity associated with contracts, and create and manage systems, processes, and procedures to support this work.  This position will also engage on proposal pricing, projections, and budgeting of new proposals.

This position is 100% remote. 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five (5) years of business administration or grants financial management or related experience
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, be very attentive to detail, and be comfortable communicating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, organizational, project management and customer service skills.  
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and implement University policies and procedures.  
  • Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels.
  • Ability to work in often rapidly changing business environments.

 

Preferred:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related field 
  • Experience with U.S. government or federally sponsored grants administration experience
  • Experience in government contracting administration
