Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Marketing – Digital Content/Advertising is a high energy, outgoing person who isn’t afraid of being in front of the camera. The position will focus on developing new and engaging digital content, largely for social media, to promote and highlight our sport programs and department initiatives. This position will also work alongside the Assoc. Director of marketing to provide support for the athletics marketing department’s advertising and marketing strategy through digital and traditional advertising platforms. This position is a part of the athletics marketing team but will work closely with our creative and communications teams on idea creation, development, execution and scheduling. In addition, the position will assist the Associate Director in developing and executing emails for the marketing department and work alongside the marketing team to create, place, track and evaluate overall advertising efforts for the athletic department. The selected candidate will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Experience.

What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, management or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing, advertising, or social media management.
Skills needed:
- Basic design and editing skills using the Adobe Creative Suite
- General creative thinking and idea generation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to perform accurate detail-oriented work, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and strong interpersonal skills
- On-the-job training will be provided for using the Paciolan/Eloqua platform.
- Organizational skills and understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Comfortable learning new software and platforms for social media
- Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations
- Experience using video equipment other than a mobile phone is a plus.
- On camera/hosting experience is a plus.
What is helpful:
- Experience in digital/social marketing, email marketing and e-commerce
- Experience within a Division I or pro sports team
- Experience working with an e-mail marketing platform
- Experience using Hootsuite, Sprout Social or another social media planning and listening platform
- Working knowledge of website content management systems
