Job Summary
Purdue University’s College of Engineering invites applications for a non-tenure track Faculty of Engineering Practice at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. Purdue University seeks to attract exceptional candidates with expertise in Engineering Research and Development, and interests in Graduate Education.
Successful candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Engineering or a related discipline by the employment start date and demonstrate potential to integrate their professional practice with the College of Engineering’s research, education, and/or engagement/outreach programs. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and serve as the primary lead faculty for the Interdisciplinary Doctor of Engineering degree, the first fully online professional doctoral program for the College. The ultimate engineering department for this position will be determined based on candidate expertise area. As such, this role will have the unique benefit of serving as an interdisciplinary engineering generalist and a specialist in their engineering discipline. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of professional experience in an engineering area of practice, as well as experience working with mid- to advanced-career industry professionals, mentorship of graduate student in research and professional development, or other areas of professional mentorship.
