Job Summary

Join Purdue University's Division of Financial Aid (DFA) as the Associate Director for Systems and Technology and provides leadership in the Division of Financial Aid (DFA) by overseeing and managing all departmental systems, technology, and data activities. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a team of experienced professionals and drive innovative solutions to enhance financial aid operations. This role also involves directing a team of professionals, managing complex projects to streamline data analysis workflows, resolving Banner system issues, and collaborating with campus colleagues to ensure efficient financial aid awarding and disbursement.

What We Are Looking For:

 

Education and Experience

Qualified candidates will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business information technology, or related.  
  • Six (6) years of experience in an administrative setting, data and analytics, maintaining databases, IT user support, process automation or related required. 
  • Experience in financial aid, with a background of progressive management and supervisory experience in systems, data and quality assurance processes preferred.     

 

Skills needed:

  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, and project management skills. 
  • Experience with automated systems and processes preferred. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations related to financial aid eligibility and processing.  Ability to develop operational policies, procedures and data systems that comply with regulations and policies and make best use of automation for accomplishing objectives. 
  • Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines while producing accurate results. 

 
What is helpful:

  • Must also be able to work as a part of a team with strong communication skills. 
  • Experience with programming and managing operations within a Financial Aid Management System (especially Ellucian Banner).
