Job Description
The primary role of the BoilerTV Intern position is creating visual content to promote student life and the opportunities available to students. The goal of this position is to give students valuable real-world experience in content creation in a large and diverse environment. The BoilerTV position should work up to 10 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor. The student(s) working in the BoilerTV Intern position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, and driven. 

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in general video production processes and have general understanding of social media platforms and marketing strategies.

Prerequisite(s)
Knowledge of cameras and photographic equipment
Knowledge of video editing software
Familiarity with campus events and locations

Qualifications
•    High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one semester of college coursework successfully completed (preferred but not required)
•    Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
•    Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail
•    Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills
•    Customer service oriented
•    Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
•    Ability to work independently and with a team
•    Be timely and organized
Position Responsibilities
•    Document events and celebrations on campus via photos and video
•    Obtain pictures and camera footage as assigned
•    Outreach to clubs and faculty to promote BoilerTV platforms
•    Promote channels and student life to Purdue audience
•    Transport, set up, operate production equipment
•    Maintain organization and cleanliness of BoilerTV studio
•    Exhibit friendliness, diplomacy, and tact in responding to customers and Purdue public
•    Handle emergency situations and prioritize responsibilities while continuing to provide the highest level of customer service
•    Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information 
•    Responsible for all scheduled shifts (based on class/exam schedules for the semester)
•    Must attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain and/or share pertinent information
