Job Summary

Role will be of student affairs professional (Director of Student Experience). Promote academic scholarship through, mentoring students, and collaborating in areas related to professional expertise and experience  Initiate, coordinate, and support all Civil and Construction Engineering undergraduate recruitment and outreach efforts on behalf of the School. Develop and coordinate outreach and recruitment marketing efforts. Develop and create strategic partnerships, both on- and off-campus, that support recruitment and outreach efforts    primarily for undergraduate students.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work autonomously to develop strategic and operational plans for undergraduate recruitment.
  • Initiate, plan, coordinate, and execute new products, processes, and standards for all undergraduate recruitment and outreach efforts on behalf of the School.
  • This may include partnering with Office of Future Engineers and First Year Engineering, interacting with prospective students and families, chairing the recruitment committee, and more.  
  • Lead development and coordination of marketing efforts for undergraduate recruitment and outreach.
  • Develop creative solutions to the complex issue of undergraduate enrollment by searching out, developing, and implementing strategic partnerships (Freshman Learning Communities, Summer College for High School Students) and initiatives (with on- and off-campus stakeholders) that provide a value-added benefit for the School.
  • Build awareness about School and programs through creating and cultivating relationships.
  • Collaborate with and provide support to student ambassadors and support staff to support recruitment and outreach efforts.  
  • Develop and manage a budget for recruitment and outreach efforts.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience

 

Skills needed:

  • Knowledge of civil and construction engineering desirable
  • Ability to tackle complex and multidimensional issues
  • Knowledge of program and project management
  • Strong interpersonal, professional, and communication skills and ability to establish good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders/customers
  • Strong organizational and time management- skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to initiate and coordinate an ambitious recruitment program
  • Ability to identify, create, and collaborate marketing content to support recruiting and outreach efforts
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team-oriented environment
  • Possess a learning and discovery orientation to new and changing technologies including social media, websites, databases, LMS, word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, surveys, and presentation applications
  • Strong interpersonal, professional, and communication skills when interacting with and managing teaching assistants
