Job Summary

As the Classroom Technology Coordinator you will be responsible for the design, installation, and programming of video and audio communication systems. You will also deploy and support video & audio-conferencing solutions, touch screen & web-based control systems, and video projection systems. This position supports video streaming, storage, indexing, and retrieval systems, and works with vendors and the Senior IT Systems Engineer of AV to ensure service offerings meet existing and future campus video needs. You will assists with university and inter-university collaboration efforts in support of video & audio meetings, teleconferencing events, and distance learning classroom activities.

This position is located in Hammond Indiana and is onsite at this extension campus.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience Needed:

  • High School Degree or High School Equivalency (HSE) 
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in computer science, audio visual, design, specification, and support of video & communication systems
  • Experience with communicating technical concepts, technical writing, documentation, and control systems

 

Skills Needed:

  • Strong:
    • working knowledge of video & audio system installation and support
    • written and verbal communications skills
  • Working knowledge of remote access, control systems, video streaming concepts, firewalls, video servers and storage devices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and productivity applications
  • Excellent technical and financial analytical skills
  • The ability to multitask
  • Must be able to lift and carry 10  to250lbs frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally
