Job Summary
The College of Liberal Arts seeks a highly organized and proactive professional to provide administrative and operations support to the Associate Dean of Research, Innovation, and Graduate Education.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee day-to-day administrative operations tied to a multifaceted portfolio, enhancing the effectiveness of processes and communications across the unit.
- Serve as a key liaison to internal and external partners.
- Facilitate communication, plan events, draft and edit a variety of documents, and manage complex scheduling and calendars.
- Track operational budgets, compile data and write reports.
- Coordinate projects that require independent research and collaboration with all levels of internal leadership and staff.

Required:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- One year of experience in administrative work.
- In lieu of degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered (High School Diploma/GED + 5 years of experience).
Skills Needed:
- Skilled in using discretion and judgement to make sound decisions, balancing facts, priorities, and possible outcomes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proactive and resourceful; take ownership of projects to meet goals.
- Strong ability to manage time, organize, and prioritize work to meet goals and deadlines.
- Knowledge of data handling policies for confidential, financial, and student data.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, Excel), virtual communication tools (Teams, Zoom), and familiarity with the use of AI tools in day-to-day workflow (Microsoft Co-pilot, Google Gemini, Notebook LM).
- Advanced use of Excel for tracking, manipulating, and analyzing data.
What is Helpful:
- Knowledge of Cognos.
- Experience with web editing and social media management.

The anticipated annual rate for this position is $60,000, commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. The final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including equity, available budget, educational background, and relevant experience.
