We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Club Sports Coordinator in the Campus Recreation department. This position would provide administration, and operational oversight for the university’s Club Sports program. The pay for annual pay for this position is between $43,888.00 - $45,000.00 dependent on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and supports all aspects of the Club Sports Program by advising student leaders, facilitating club operations, managing program resources, and ensuring compliance with university, league, and risk management policies.
- Develops and implements leadership education, training, communications, and engagement initiatives that promote student development, organizational effectiveness, and program success.
- Oversees administrative and financial functions of Club Sports, including but not limited to budgets, travel, facility and equipment logistics, marketing, and policy enforcement.
- Coordinates and administers home Club Sports competitions, including but not limited to logistics, staffing, facility operations, equipment management, and participant needs.
- Serves as the primary on-site representative during competitions by supporting participants and stakeholders, addressing operational concerns, and responding to incidents in accordance with established risk management procedures.
- Leads assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts for Club Sports programs through data collection and analysis to inform decision-making and program development.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Sports Leadership, Recreation Management, Athletic Administration, Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
- One to three years of professional experience in collegiate recreation, club sports, intramural sports, athletics, student affairs, event management, or a related field.
- Experience advising student organizations or working directly with college students in a leadership development capacity.
- Experience coordinating programs, events, competitions, or recreational sports activities.
- Experience with budget management, travel coordination, facility scheduling, and risk management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and enforce policies and procedures.
- Experience with collegiate recreation or club sports.
- Knowledge of risk management and safety procedures.
- Event planning and program management experience.
- Budgeting and financial oversight.
- Student leadership development.
- Conflict resolution and team supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification
