Job Summary

As the Graduate Program Specialist, you will play a vital role in advancing graduate and professional education through student-centered support, strategic program coordination, and collaborative partnerships that strengthen academic excellence and workforce engagement.

 

Working closely with departmental leadership, faculty, students, and external partners, you will help shape an inclusive learning environment while supporting the growth, quality, and success of residential, online, and professional education programs.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate and support graduate and professional education programs, initiatives, and daily operations.
  • Serve as a primary liaison among students, faculty, university offices, employers, alumni, and community partners.
  • Guide prospective and current students through recruitment, admissions, onboarding, retention, degree progression, and graduation processes.
  • Provide academic advising and individualized support related to degree requirements, university policies, registration, and available resources.
  • Monitor student progress and implement data-informed strategies that promote student success and positive educational outcomes.
  • Assist with enrollment management, program assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of new and existing graduate and professional education programs.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities, networking events, workshops, and industry engagement activities.
  • Foster relationships with employers, alumni, and community organizations to expand experiential learning, career exploration, and workforce alignment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership on strategic planning, special projects, and initiatives that enhance program quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with university, college, and departmental policies, procedures, and academic standards.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and student-focused environment that supports learning, innovation, and professional growth.

What We're Looking For:

Required:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in public health, student services, or related field. 
  • Three years of experience in higher education administration, program management, public health, or related field.

 

Skills Needed:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across academic and industry stakeholders
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible messaging for diverse audiences
  • Experience with recruitment strategies and program operations preferred
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze enrollment and engagement metrics
  • High level of initiative, adaptability, and relationship-building capability
  • Ability to problem-solve student issues by utilizing campus resources

The anticipated annual range for this position is $64,000-66,000/year. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
