Key Responsibilities:
Employer Relations Support:
- Assist in maintaining and growing relationships with employers, both locally and nationally to provide career development opportunities for students.
- Help coordinate employer events, such as job fairs, employer panels, and networking sessions.
- Aid in managing employer outreach campaigns, including email communication and employer database updates.
- Assist in preparing and distributing employer satisfaction surveys to assess the effectiveness of career center programs and services.
- Collaborate with development to encourage high profile organizations to get identified for potential philanthropic support of the Career Center.
Graduate Surveys and Alumni Data Collection:
- Collaborate with the Career Center team to design and distribute graduate surveys, collecting data on alumni employment outcomes, job placement rates, and industry trends.
- Analyze survey data to create reports that highlight key trends, including which companies and industries alumni are working in.
- Ensure data quality and confidentiality, adhering to university policies on data privacy.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to the Career Center team as needed, including assisting students with career-related inquiries, reviewing resumes, and conducting mock interviews.
- Stay informed about industry trends and employer needs to help improve employer engagement strategies.
- Assist in creating and updating promotional materials and online content related to employer relations and career services.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas for improving employer relations and student engagement.
- Assist staff in planning and executing events hosted by The Career Center (e.g., Career Expos, Signing Day, etc.).
- Oversee the Career Center’s co-curricular record/ badging system including updating content and grading student submissions.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program at PNW.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with career services platforms (e.g., Handshake) a plus.
- Experience in data analysis, survey creation, or reporting is preferred.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, alumni, and employers.
- A positive, professional attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Other Details:
- Open to all majors.
- Must be a PNW Graduate Student. GPA 3.0 or higher.
- This position is tuition reimbursement as well as monthly stipend.
- This position is in person and on the Hammond Campus.
- This position begins in the summer with hourly pay.
