Job Summary

Supports the recruitment and enrollment of prospective undergraduate and graduate students for Purdue Polytechnic degree and certificate programs. Working within an assigned geographic territory, this position builds awareness of Purdue Polytechnic programs, identifies and cultivates prospective students, and implements outreach strategies that advance enrollment goals.

As a primary representative of Purdue Polytechnic, the Recruiter provides accurate, student-centered guidance on academic programs, admissions processes, and transfer-credit opportunities. Responsibilities include developing relationships with prospective students and key community partners; delivering presentations and information sessions to large audiences on and off campus; and participating in recruitment events and outreach activities.

The position collaborates with the Director to develop, evaluate, and refine recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies that support program growth and student-success objectives. Purdue Polytechnic offers undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as certificate options, across multiple Indiana locations, making clear program knowledge and territory-focused outreach central to the role.

What We Are Looking For :

Education and Experience

Qualified candidates will need:

• Bachelors’ degree
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in college recruitment, college/university academic advising, sales, marketing, and/or public relations. 

Skills needed :

• Superior communication skills (spoken, written, group, individual)
• Motivation to increase enrollment with minimal supervision.
• Advanced computer skills with working experience in word processing, spreadsheets, database usage, e-mail, Internet, etc.
• Ability to relate well to working professionals
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent organizational ability, as well as, multi-tasking ability
• Ability to maneuver about the facilities in order to give tours to prospective students and families.
• Ability to travel within a specific geographic location to attend recruitment events.

Preferred:

• Background in college recruitment, college/university academic advising, sales, marketing, and/or public relations preferred.

The anticipated annual salary for this position is $55,000, commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. The final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including equity, available budget, educational background, and relevant experience.
