Job Summary

Purdue University in Indianapolis is a fully integrated expansion of West Lafayette, extending to central Indiana the academic rigor and accessible excellence for which Purdue is known. We seek a strategic and collaborative leader to help launch an innovative Medicine & Health Pathways Program that will support undergraduates in Indianapolis interested in pursuing healthcare careers.

The Founding Director of the Purdue University Medicine & Health Pathways Program will oversee an initiative to support pre-professional STEM students interested in pursuing careers in health-related professions. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost for Purdue in Indianapolis, the Founding Director will collaborate with colleagues Purdue-wide and in the community to set a vision for a vibrant infrastructure that supports Boilermakers seeking to apply to a health-related professional school. Specifically, the Program will coordinate and disseminate student opportunities in undergraduate research in health and medicine, clinical shadowing experiences, including those that are patient-facing, and pre-medicine and health leadership. The initial focus will be on students interested in pursuing medicine or similarly related health professions.
