Job Summary

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (PVM) invites applications from credentialed veterinary technicians with a strong interest in teaching veterinary nursing students for a full-time position as an Instructional Technologist/Lab Coordinator in the Veterinary Nursing Campus (VNRS) program. 

 

The successful candidate will help maintain a safe and effective learning environment in on-campus veterinary nursing laboratories, assist with lab setup and breakdown, support learning activities, and aid with student assessments. Additionally, this role involves coordinating and instructing VNRS courses, creating syllabi, setting up courses in Brightspace, engaging with students, and grading. The coordinator will also assist with VN Distance Learning (VNDL) summer campus labs, summer VNDL clinical mentorship evaluations, outreach events, and perform various administrative duties providing support for PVM and PVM activities.

What We're Looking For: 

 

Education and Experience:

 

Required: 

  • Bachelor degree in animal science, veterinary technology, education, instruction or closely related field
  • Registered Veterinary Technician from AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program
  • 2-3 years as a veterinary technician
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

 

Preferred:

  • University Veterinary Teaching Hospital or Veterinary Specialty Hospital as a credentialed veterinary nurse
  • Teaching experience
